The Peace Garden is one of several native gardens at the park designed by a WOMV officer and planted with the help of WOMV. In addition, the park has more than 1500 trees, many of them native. WOMV has chosen the Peace Garden at F.T. Proctor Park in Utica as our public service project. Come join us in volunteering and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Three times a year, we will do maintenance, including planting and weeding. If you are unable to weed and plant, we also need a couple people at our education table! Bring gardening gloves and a trowel or shovel if you have them. Park in the lot off of Rutgers Ave and walk down the hill to the Peace Garden. Map here.
